#Mall Event – Holiday Season in Jakarta – Part 9

Now let’s see what’s happening in SUMMARECON MAL SERPONG (SMS).

Located in Gading Serpong, one of the fastest growing real estate developments, SMS is one of the most visited malls by the people who lived in Serpong and Tangerang area. Not only because it has a lots of restaurants (indoor and outdoor/al-fresco), supermarket (Farmer’s Market), department store (Stars Dept. Store), electronic stores (Agis), entertainment (XXI Cinema, Timezone, etc.) and fashion stores, they also provide special event in every important season for their customers.

This time, they worked with Fun Characters International, to celebrate Disney Princess – Fairytale Christmas during this holiday season.

As glamorous as a Princess, the event itself is an entertaining and educating one for the children. The Cinderella Castle, one of the world-renown Disneyland icons was built in the centre atrium. A white castle is majestically stands as the Main Stage for the whole event until 09 January 2011.

Lots of music performances, story telling, games and competition will be held during the event. Calvin Jeremy, Gruvi, Diva Idol, Malig & D’Essentials are among the artistes performances.

The prestigious annual Disney Princess Competition is also held here, to look for the most beautiful and talented little Princess that entitle to go to Hong Kong Disneyland for holiday with her family.

Aside from the Main Stage, there are couple of more, where kids can wear the Princess Costumes and take photo on the Princess Carriage or have fun to watch the Magic Mirror with Augmented Reality technology to change the people who facing the mirror into a Princess looks :)

Part 8

Next visit is MAL KELAPA GADING

Mal Kelapa Gading have been known for so many years, especially for the family since people can find almost everything in this mall. Food, Fashion, Entertainment, you name it :)

This Holiday Season they came up with Santa House made from candies by YUPI. Located in the Main Atrium of Mal Kelapa Gading 3, it really looks so pretty and SWEET! :)

Turned to Senayan area, I visited SENAYAN CITY.

This year end, Senayan CIty is presenting DORA the EXPLORER at their Center Atrium. 

In addition to the stage activities and MEET & GREET with DORA, there are plenty of NICKELODEON characters merchandise, too.

Decoration is quite pretty, with lots of hanging Christmas decoration from mall’s high ceiling.

Another place to visit with your children during the long year end holiday :)

Okey…Mall to Mall Journey continues :)

In Southern part of Jakarta, there is PONDOK INDAH MALL 2…

The centre court of the mall turned into a massive ice rink, where children could play ice skating and ice tubing. How much fun is that? :)

For the first timer, no need to worry, there are few coaches ready to help the kids to learn some basic ice-skating skills.

Really fun and enjoyable activities for the kids, indeed. Especially when they're in the ice rink and the machined made snow fall, falls on their head. It's will be quite an experience for them.

One of the place kids will love during this holiday season ;)

#Mall Event – Holiday Season in Jakarta – Part 5

The next mall that I’ve visited was GRAND INDONESIA.

This mall is always try their best to bring exciting and entertaining shows to their customers. Especially during School Holiday in June and Christmas season in December. Grand Indonesia always tries to bring a show that has never been done in any other mall in Jakarta.

If last year they were having a musical show, this year they brought a special circus show, CIRQUE POLYNESIA, from Maui, Hawaii, USA.

A performance of acrobats, hula-hula dance and magician was pretty amusing for kids and adults. Although, the Toddlers may not really enjoying the show, but for slightly older kids and parents it would be an excited 30 minutes shows to watch.

Together with TOYS KINGDOM as their retail partner, Grand Indonesia once again has succeeded to bring a good entertainment for the family during this holiday season.

The show schedule for weekdays is 07:00-07:30 pm, one show only. On weekends and holiday, there are two shows, 06:30-07:00 pm and 07:30-08:00 pm. The show will only up to the 24^th December 2010.

It’s indeed a show worth to see :)

#Mall Event – Holiday Season in Jakarta – Part 4

After checking on Mal Taman Anggrek, let's go to the new mall beside it, CENTRAL PARK.

In this recently open mall we can enjoy a giant SANTA made from Lego blocks. Quite amazed with all the diorama that made from the LEGO bricks. Literally a city in miniature, all made by LEGO. Although the size of the diorama is not as massive as their previous exhibitions in different malls, but still very interesting to watch and I can see many people, adult and kids, especially the LEGO’s fans checking each diorama. They enthusiastically observing and taking pictures of each LEGO showcase.

Besides the exhibition, there are stage activities and performance. Typical to other Christmas celebration, there are some choirs, small competition and activities for children as well.

This mall usually very crowded during weekend and I’m sure the crowd will be more during the coming week when the year end school holiday starts.
